As your dedicated travel specialist, my ultimate goal is to create a seamless and personalized travel experience that exceeds your expectations. The Design process

First we talk.

I would like you to schedule an appointment with me, so we can both be in a good travel mindset when we speak. An appointment would benefit us both, so on my part I can be 100% focus on you. In the past, I would pick up on business calls from someone new wanting to speak about travel plans on my mobile phone while driving, or in the middle of something else. It’s not a good practice or fair to the other person if I am not 100% because I have to concentrate on the road or something else. So please make an appointment.

I offer a free initial consultation of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, to introduce myself and my services, and to listen. I like to learn much about you and what you envision for your next adventure trip (vacation). I aim to very much make this a collaborative relationship, where we are invested in the trip, and to make it great. I do charge a fee to begin building an itinerary after the initial call. Don’t worry I will explain this in the call.

Who, What, Where, When and Why

We start simple with the basics. These are example questions below:

Who
- Who exactly would be traveling? You alone, with a friend, a significant other, family or with a group.
- People in a household, those in your general area using the same airport, or with friends across the country.
What
- This is basically what you have in mind for your vacation or next adventure. All the “what questions”. What kind of accommodations do you like? What did you like about your last vacations? What do you expect from this trip? What is your budget? What kind of fish do you want to catch?
Where
- The big question. Where do you want to go?
- We can start with a region, and narrow this down.
- Or we can talk about a multi-city tour or multi-continent adventure!
When
- When do you want to go?
- You may be planning this for an anniversary or birthday. So those would be solid dates.
- Or you may want to go a certain time of the year or season. Or when it’s the peak time for whale watching, or to avoid the busy season crowds at your destination of choice.
Why
- Why? It tells us what is most important. This gives us the reason for the trip and how best we can achieve a great outcome.

How

This is where we earn our your business. We figure how to make this dream vacation happen. After our initial discussion we begin the research. We will have a few solutions based on the information you gave us. Then reach back to you with a list of ideas. Collaborate, back and forth. Next, we will present a draft itinerary. Receive your feedback. Fine tune the travel itinerary. Get your final approval, and then book it.

It may sound simple in that last paragraph, but this may take a couple of day or more, depending on how complex the itinerary may be, especially international trips. We’ll focus on the fine details of the plan to make sure everything is in order. So this is our travel design process.
